Southpaw players finally get the full American Professional treatment with this left-handed Telecaster, finished in classic butterscotch blonde over a resonant ash body. Fender’s engineers didn’t just mirror the original design — they rethought every detail that matters to how a Tele actually feels under your hands.
At the heart of the tone are Tim Shaw’s V-Mod single-coil pickups, each voiced individually for its position using a specific blend of alnico magnet types. The result is that unmistakable Fender snap and clarity, but with more depth and output than older designs. A treble-bleed circuit keeps your highs intact even as you roll back the volume knob, so your tone doesn’t go dark when you back off.
The maple neck wears a new “Deep C” profile — thicker through the shoulders than a standard Modern C, landing somewhere between that and a U shape, for a substantial, confident grip whether you’re chording or soloing. Narrow-tall frets make bending strings and nailing intonation up the neck noticeably easier, and a bone nut adds a touch of vintage-correct resonance at the headstock.
Fender also redesigned the bridge itself: three compensated brass barrel saddles improve intonation accuracy while keeping that classic Tele twang, and the reshaped “ashtray” cover stays out of your palm-muting hand.
