Description
The American Performer Jazzmaster takes the offset design that guitarists have loved for decades and tunes it for modern playability, all without losing the character that made the shape famous. Built in Corona, California from a resonant alder body, this one wears a classic 3 Color Sunburst finish under gloss polyurethane, with a 4-ply brown shell pickguard adding vintage-correct contrast.
Under the hood, a pair of Yosemite single-coil Jazzmaster pickups deliver the shimmering highs and woody midrange this body style is known for, wired through a Greasebucket tone circuit that rolls off highs without piling on bass — so your tone stays clear and focused as you dial it back. A 3-position toggle lets you access bridge, combined, or neck voicing on the fly.
The maple neck carries a Modern “C” profile with a 9.5″ radius rosewood fingerboard and 22 jumbo frets, striking a comfortable middle ground for chords and lead lines alike. A 1.685″ nut width, synthetic bone nut, and white dot inlays round out a neck that feels immediately familiar. Fender ClassicGear tuning machines keep things stable, while a vintage-style 6-saddle synchronized tremolo bridge offers smooth, subtle pitch modulation.
