Fender’s American Original ’60s Stratocaster Left-Hand brings that era back for southpaw players, pairing vintage-correct construction with the switching flexibility modern guitarists expect.
Inside are three Pure Vintage ’65 gray-bottom single-coil pickups, wax-potted and wound with enamel-coated wire on fiber bobbins with alnico 5 magnets — and pole pieces properly staggered for left-handed playing, so the tone comes through balanced and articulate string to string. The alder body wears a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish that ages naturally and lets the wood resonate the way vintage Strats do. The maple neck carries a chunky ’60s C profile suited to full chords, a 9.5″ radius rosewood fingerboard, vintage tall frets, and a bone nut.
Other period-correct touches include the six-point synchronized tremolo bridge, single-line Fender Deluxe tuning machines, and aged white control knobs. It ships strung with Fender USA 250R nickel-plated steel strings (.010–.046) and comes housed in a vintage-style hardshell case.
