The WG Standard brings Eddie’s Wolfgang design down to a price point without cutting corners where it counts. The basswood body wears a flat top with a comfort-cut forearm contour, and this version is finished in a striking Transparent Red over a quilted maple top that lets the grain show through the gloss polyester finish.
Up the neck, you get a one-piece bolt-on maple neck with a satin feel and graphite reinforcement for stability, paired with a maple fingerboard cut to a compound 12″-16″ radius. That radius flattens out as you climb, so chords stay comfortable low on the neck while bends and solos up top don’t fret out. 22 jumbo frets, rolled edges, and black dot inlays round out a board built for speed.
Dual EVH Wolfgang direct-mount humbuckers cover both bridge and neck duties, wired to a simple master volume/master tone setup with a 3-position toggle. No fuss, just tones that go from cutting bridge bite to warm neck growl. The EVH-branded Floyd Rose Special bridge and R2 locking nut give you dive-bomb range without losing tuning stability, backed by EVH tuners, a bar string retainer, and oversized strap buttons for stage-ready reliability.
