Description
This is Warren DeMartini’s road weapon distilled into a production Charvel: an alder-body Dinky shape wearing the unmistakable Snakeskin Graphic finish, built to handle everything from clean funk stabs to full-throttle Ratt solos without blinking.
The bolt-on quartersawn maple neck uses Charvel’s Speed Neck profile with a 12″-16″ compound-radius maple fingerboard, rolled edges, and 22 jumbo frets, so chords stay comfortable low on the neck while bends up top pull effortlessly. A Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo, mounted non-recessed, keeps tuning locked through aggressive whammy work, and the Floyd Rose locking nut backs it up.
Tone comes from a purpose-built pair: Warren’s own Seymour Duncan Custom RTM (“Rattus Tonus Maximus”) humbucker in the bridge for saturated lead tone with cutting upper harmonics, paired with a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound Flat SSL-4 single-coil in the neck for warmer rhythm and cleaner voicings. A 3-way toggle and single volume knob keep the controls simple and stage-friendly.
