The Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 1 HH HT E is Charvel’s take on a no-nonsense, high-performance rock machine. An alder body paired with a pickguard keeps things resonant and lightweight, while the bolt-on maple neck packs a pair of graphite reinforcement rods to fight off warping no matter how hard you tour or how much the climate swings.
Charvel’s speed neck profile shaves away anything that gets in the way of fast runs and wide position shifts, and the rolled fingerboard edges make it feel like a guitar you’ve already logged thousands of hours on. The 12″-16″ compound radius ebony fingerboard carries 22 jumbo frets and dot inlays, flattening out as you climb for effortless bends up top. A heel-mounted truss rod wheel means neck relief adjustments take seconds, not a trip to the tech.
Tone comes from a matched pair of Seymour Duncan Distortion humbuckers: the aggressive TB-6 in the bridge and the thick, warm SH-6N in the neck. A push/pull coil-split hidden in the volume knob unlocks single-coil textures for extra tonal range, and the no-load tone control acts like a normal tone knob from one to nine before disappearing from the circuit entirely at ten, letting the guitar’s raw voice come through unfiltered. Anchoring it all is the Charvel HT6 string-through-body hardtail bridge, engineered for solid intonation and long, singing sustain.
