Description
The Pro-Mod DK24 HSS 2PT CM takes Charvel’s Dinky platform and dials it in for players who need speed, precision, and tonal range in one guitar. The alder body wears a satin Primer Gray finish that’s rugged and road-ready, no frills attached.
What sets this neck apart is the caramelized maple construction – a two-piece, bolt-on design reinforced with graphite for stability and topped with a heat-treated fingerboard that offers a slightly warmer look and feel than standard maple. The compound radius runs from 12″ at the nut to 16″ up top, so chords feel comfortable low on the neck while bends stay effortless past the 12th fret. Rolled fingerboard edges, 24 jumbo frets, pearloid dots, and Luminlay side markers round out a neck that’s built for fast, confident playing in any light.
Tone comes from a well-thought-out HSS lineup: a Custom Seymour Duncan Full Shred SH-10B in the bridge for aggressive lead work, flanked by two Seymour Duncan Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 single coils (the neck unit is RWRP for hum cancellation) that deliver classic single-coil sparkle when you need to pull back. A five-way blade switch unlocks all the usual in-between combinations, while the volume and no-load tone controls – built around a 500K EVH Bourns low-friction pot – let you dial in everything from full humbucker growl to true bypass single-coil clarity.
Hardware is equally purposeful: a recessed Gotoh Custom 510 tremolo for expressive vibrato work, locking tuners for tuning stability, a Graph Tech nut, and a heel-mounted truss rod wheel for quick adjustments without pulling the neck.
