The Jaguar’s oddball charm is alive and well in this Vintage Modified take, dressed in a classic Surf Green finish that channels the model’s 1960s surf-rock roots. Squier kept the character intact – the 24″ short scale, dual-circuit switching, and that quirky floating vibrato bridge are all here – while quietly modernizing the parts that matter for everyday playability.
A maple neck with a vintage-tint gloss finish carries a 9.5″-radius rosewood fingerboard, giving you a flatter, more comfortable feel than the original vintage spec without losing the retro look of the parchment dot inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets. The white-black-white pickguard plays nicely against the Surf Green body, and chrome hardware throughout keeps the whole package looking sharp.
Underneath the hood, Duncan Designed JG-101B and JG-101N single-coils feed a dual-circuit setup that’s very much part of the Jaguar’s identity: a rhythm circuit with its own volume and tone, plus a lead circuit offering neck-only, bridge-only, or both-pickups-on options, along with pickup on/off slider switches and a tone circuit switch for shaping your sound on the fly. It’s a control layout that rewards experimentation.
