A bolt-on maple neck meets a mahogany body, giving you that classic combination of bright, reflective attack from the neck and warm low-end punch from the body wood. The rosewood fingerboard smooths things out further, its natural oiliness absorbing stray overtones for a fundamental-rich tone that only gets better with playing time.
Twenty-four jumbo frets give you the real estate to run up and down the neck without running out of room, while the “SYN” and “Death Bat” inlays and black binding keep the look unmistakably Synyster Gates. Loaded with Duncan Designed HB-108 Detonater humbuckers — modeled after the aggressive Seymour Duncan SH-8 Invader — this guitar is voiced for punk, thrash, metal, and anything else that demands ultra-high output and cutting sustain. A volume knob, tone knob with coil-tap, and 3-way switch let you dial in tonal variety on the fly.
On the hardware side, Grover Rotomatic tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio keep tuning precise and stable, with finer gearing that cuts down on backlash. The Floyd Rose Special tremolo — built in Korea under license to Floyd Rose’s exact construction specs, with zinc alloy saddles and sustain block — handles dive bombs and pitch tricks without losing its cool.
