Description
The Schecter Sun Valley SS-FR is a purpose-built weapon for players who live on the fretboard’s far end. A mahogany body with bolt-on maple neck keeps things resonant and light, while the Thin ‘C’ neck profile and 24 X-Jumbo frets over a 14″ radius rosewood fretboard make lead lines feel effortless from the first fret all the way to the 24th.
Up front, a matched pair of EMG Retro Active Hot 70 pickups deliver active output with a vintage-informed voicing – aggressive enough for high-gain riffing, but with enough clarity left in reserve for cleaner passages. A simple Volume/Volume/3-Way Switch layout keeps blending the two pickups intuitive mid-set.
For pitch stability under abuse, the SS-FR is loaded with a Floyd Rose Special ‘Hot Rod’ Locking Tremolo, a Schecter-exclusive design paired with a matching Floyd Rose Special locking nut – built to handle aggressive whammy work and stay in tune. Stainless steel hardware finished in black adds a layer of corrosion resistance for guitarists who sweat it out on stage night after night.
Finished in Gloss White, this Korean-built instrument is right-handed and set up as a bolt-on for reliable neck-to-body coupling.
