Description
The Schecter Omen Extreme-7 gives seven-string players a shredder-friendly platform without the boutique price tag. Built in Indonesia on a bolt-on mahogany body, it’s topped with an arched quilted maple cap and wrapped in crème multi-ply binding for a look that’s sharper than most guitars in this class, all finished in a translucent See-Thru Black that lets the wood grain show through.
Up the neck, a maple neck with Thin ‘C’ profile keeps things fast and comfortable, measuring .787″ (20mm) at the first fret and .866″ (22mm) at the twelfth. The rosewood fretboard carries 24 X-Jumbo frets across a 16″ radius, dressed up with abalone and pearloid vector inlays, and set to a 26.5″ scale length that adds welcome string tension for the low B. A Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut (1.889″/48mm wide) and a 2-way adjustable truss rod round out the playability side.
For tone, Schecter went with its own Diamond Plus humbuckers in both the bridge and neck positions, giving you a matched set voiced for clarity and output whether you’re tracking rhythm chugs or reaching for lead lines.
