The Omen Extreme 6 is Schecter’s answer for players who want aggressive output without giving up tonal flexibility. Underneath that Black Cherry finish and quilted maple top sits a mahogany body paired with a bolt-on maple neck – a combination that keeps the low end tight while letting bright, focused overtones push through clearly.
Driving the sound are Schecter Diamond Plus pickups: over-wound coils on ceramic magnets that hit hard for crunchy rhythm parts and searing leads, and stay articulate even when you tune down. Pull up on the push-pull knob and the humbuckers split to a cleaner, single-coil-style voice for added versatility. Controls are laid out as Vol/Vol/Tone (with the coil-tap function) and a 3-way switch.
The rosewood fingerboard adds warmth and smooths off stray overtones thanks to its naturally oily grain, working in tandem with the maple neck’s brighter, more focused character. Twenty-four jumbo frets with vector inlays and creme multi-ply binding give the neck a fast, clean feel from the first fret to the last, all across a standard 25.5″ scale.
Anchoring the strings is a Tune-O-Matic bridge routed through the body – Schecter’s string-thru setup that adds sustain, tension, and clarity you can actually hear. Schecter’s own sealed, lubricated tuners round things out, built with a 15:1 gear ratio, removable knobs, and threaded hex bushings for tuning stability that holds up night after night.
