The Hellraiser C-7 FR takes the extended-range guitar seriously, pairing a mahogany body (available in plain or quilted maple top variants) with a set neck cut with Ultra Access for smooth upper-fret reach. The 3-piece mahogany neck resists warping over time far better than a single-piece blank, keeping the 26.5″ scale, 24-jumbo-fret rosewood board playing straight through seasonal changes. On the Black Cherry finish, abalone binding and Gothic cross inlays trace the fretboard for a look as sharp as the tone.
EMG’s 707tw pickups solve the classic problem of muddy low-B response – Alnico V magnets and wide-aperture coils tighten up that seventh string without sacrificing clarity on harmonics, natural or artificial. Each volume knob is coil-tappable, so you can thin out the humbucker voicing on the fly, and a 3-way switch plus dedicated tone control round out the layout.
Locking down the low end and staying in tune under abuse is a Floyd Rose 1000 Series double-locking tremolo, still the benchmark bridge system for players who dive-bomb hard and often. Grover Rotomatic tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio handle the fine-tuning side of things, offering tighter, more stable pitch adjustments than standard tuners. Black chrome hardware ties the whole build together.
