Description
The Hellraiser C-7 is Schecter’s answer for players who need extended range without sacrificing playability. Its set-neck construction with Ultra Access joint keeps the upper frets reachable, while the 3-piece mahogany neck resists warping over time, staying straight through seasonal humidity and temperature swings that would bend a lesser neck.
A 26.5″ scale length gives the extra-low 7th string proper tension and clarity, and the rosewood fingerboard adds warmth and richness to the tone, soaking up the harsh overtones that raw maple leaves behind. 24 jumbo frets and gray pearloid Gothic cross inlays give this Black finish model its distinctive look, with matching pearloid binding along the neck and body.
Tone comes from an EMG 81-7 active pickup in the bridge – tight, aggressive, and built for high-gain riffing and searing lead work. The neck position houses a Sustainiac pickup/driver, which does double duty: switched off, it delivers smooth humbucker tone; switched on, it feeds string vibration back electromagnetically for true infinite sustain, no amp volume required. A dedicated On/Off mini switch and a Normal/Mix/Harmonic mode switch let you dial in natural fundamentals, blended harmonics, or shimmering high harmonic feedback on command.
Rounding out the build: Grover Rotomatic tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio for precise, stable tuning, and a Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge for locking tremolo performance that stays in tune through aggressive dive bombs and pull-ups. Black chrome hardware ties the whole look together.
