Description
The Hellraiser C-1 Sustaniac is built for players who want more than just distortion and speed — it’s got a trick up its sleeve. The neck pickup position houses a Sustainiac Driver, which switches between a warm humbucker voice and an electromagnetic feedback mode that lets notes ring out indefinitely, no amp gain required. Pair that with the EMG 81 Active pickup in the bridge, and you’ve got ceramic-magnet punch, tight low end, and searing high-end cut for lead work that slices through a mix.
Underneath the Black Cherry finish sits a set-neck construction with Ultra Access, giving you clean reach to the upper frets without the neck joint getting in the way. The 3-piece mahogany neck resists warping over time, staying straighter through seasonal changes than a single-piece neck would. It’s capped with a rosewood fingerboard — naturally oily wood that smooths out stray overtones and pushes the tone toward a richer, fundamental-heavy character rather than a bright, glassy one.
Abalone “Gothic Cross” inlays run across 24 jumbo frets, framed by abalone binding with multi-ply black/white/black trim for a look that matches the guitar’s dark, aggressive vibe. A Floyd Rose 1000 Series bridge handles dive-bombs and pitch tricks without losing tuning stability, backed by Grover Rotomatic tuners with an 18:1 gear ratio for precise, backlash-free tuning. Controls are laid out with volume, tone, an intensity knob for the Sustainiac, a 3-way pickup selector, and two mini DPDT switches. Black chrome hardware ties the whole build together.
