Description
The Schecter Diamond-J 5 Plus takes the classic offset J-bass silhouette and stretches it to a full 35″ scale, giving the low B string the tension and clarity it needs to sit tight in a mix. An alder body with a flat top keeps the tone open and balanced, while the bolt-on maple neck is reinforced with carbon fiber rods for extra stability under string tension.
- Rosewood fretboard with MOP block inlays, white 1-ply binding, and a 12″ radius across 20 Narrow X-Jumbo frets
- Thin ‘C’ neck profile with a 1.771″ nut width for fast, comfortable playing across five strings
- Graph Tech XL Ivory Tusq nut and a 2-way adjustable truss rod for long-term setup control
Electronics come courtesy of a matched set of Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound 5-String J (SJ5-3) pickups in the neck and bridge, wired to a master volume with push-pull phase switch, a 4-way rotary pickup selector, and an active Seymour Duncan STC-2S-B0 2-band EQ for shaping bass and treble on the fly. The Wilkinson Bass WBBC bridge features custom string-thru-body stringing for added sustain and attack, paired with Schecter tuners and chrome hardware throughout. Finished in Ivory with metal knurled knobs, this bass ships with Ernie Ball 5-String Super Long strings (.045-.130) installed. A case is available separately.
