Description
The Damien-8 Multiscale takes Schecter’s Damien lineup down into eight-string territory, using a fanned fret design that runs from a 25.5″ scale up to 27.5″. That extra length on the low strings tightens up tuning stability and adds punch to the bottom end, while the shorter scale near the top keeps the higher strings comfortable and in tune. It’s a practical setup for players who want extended range without fighting intonation issues.
The mahogany body is bolted to a maple neck carved in a Thin “C” profile, topped with a rosewood fretboard and pearloid bat inlays for a subtle visual signature. Twenty-four jumbo frets and a 20″ radius board give plenty of room for fast lead work and aggressive rhythm playing, and a Graph Tech XL Black Tusq nut helps keep tuning solid under heavy attack. A Hipshot 8-String Multiscale fixed bridge anchors everything with rock-solid string tension.
Loaded with a matched pair of Schecter Diamond Heretic pickups, this guitar is voiced for high-gain riffing and articulate low-string clarity alike. Controls are kept simple: volume, a push-pull tone knob, and a 3-way switch for quick tonal shifts mid-set.
