The Schecter C-1 Hellraiser pairs aggressive looks with serious tonal versatility. Its mahogany body is topped with a quilted maple cap finished in Black Cherry, sitting on a set-neck design with Ultra Access for smooth upper-fret playing. The 3-piece mahogany neck resists warping over time, staying straight through seasonal changes far better than a single-piece neck would.
A rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets keeps the feel fast and familiar, while abalone Gothic Cross inlays add signature Schecter flair. Tonal control comes from the EMG 81TX/89R active pickup set: the 81TX offers a dual-mode switch between its classic high-gain crunch and a punchier single-coil voice, while the 89R neck pickup uses alnico V magnets and its own preamp to shift between warm, rich dual-coil tones and clearer single-coil character.
Electronics are kept simple and functional with dual volume controls (each with coil-tap), a master tone, and a 3-way switch for quick pickup blending. Hardware includes Schecter locking tuners with a 19:1 gear ratio for stable, precise tuning, and a TonePros Tune-o-matic bridge with thru-body stringing that locks down for improved sustain, cleaner harmonics, and rock-solid intonation.
