Description
Left-handed players often get an afterthought version of a great guitar. The C-1 FR SLS Elite LH isn’t that – it’s the real thing, mirrored and ready to go. The neck runs straight through the body in a multi-ply maple/walnut/padauk blend, stiffened with carbon fiber rods, so notes ring out with sustain rather than fading fast. That neck is carved into an Ultra Thin “C” profile, thin enough to feel fast under the fretting hand but stable thanks to the through-body design and 2-way adjustable truss rod.
A swamp ash body capped with a flamed maple top gives the guitar its resonant backbone, finished in a smoky Black Fade Burst that lets the wood grain show through. Up top, an ebony fretboard hosts 24 extra-jumbo stainless steel frets across a 12″-16″ compound radius, so chords feel comfortable low on the neck while bends stay smooth and buzz-free up high. Abalone offset/reverse dot inlays and matching side dots add a subtle visual touch against the black hardware.
Tone comes from a set of Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers – alnico in the neck, ceramic in the bridge – controlled by push-pull volume and tone knobs and a 3-way switch, giving access to both voiced and low-noise active tonal options well beyond a typical passive setup. A Floyd Rose 1500 Series bridge and matching locking nut handle the tremolo duties, keeping tuning locked in through aggressive dive bombs and flutters. Grover Rotomatic tuners with an 18:1 ratio round out the hardware for fine, stable tuning.
