The SE Singlecut McCarty 594 Standard marks the first time this beloved model has joined the PRS SE family, translating golden-era guitar craftsmanship into an instrument built for everyday gigging and practice room hours alike. At its core sits an all-mahogany construction – both body and neck – delivering the smooth, mellow foundation that mahogany guitars are known for, giving the dual 58/15 LT “S” humbuckers plenty of room to speak with clarity and natural warmth.
The only departure from mahogany is the rosewood fingerboard, shaped with a 10-inch radius that strikes a comfortable middle ground – equally happy strumming open chords near the nut as it is chasing expressive bends up high. Underneath it all, PRS fitted the neck with their Pattern Vintage profile, a substantial, stout carve that rewards players who’ve always preferred a fuller handful of neck over today’s slimmer standard shapes.
