It holds onto every hallmark of the original platform but adds a pair of mini-toggle coil-split switches, borrowed straight from the Core Series, that break each humbucker down into a true single-coil voice. That gives you eight total pickup configurations from just two pickups, so you can move from thick humbucker growl to glassy single-coil chime without changing guitars.
