Description
The CE 24 exists for players who want that percussive, springy attack only a bolt-on neck can deliver, without giving up the tone refinement PRS is known for. It pairs the familiar mahogany back and maple top combo with a bolt-on maple neck and rosewood fretboard, blending vintage-style responsiveness with modern build precision.
The neck itself carries a Pattern Thin carve finished in satin nitro, giving it a slim, fast profile and an open, worn-in feel right out of the case. It’s the kind of neck that disappears in your hand so you can focus on playing rather than fighting the instrument.
Under the hood, PRS 85/15 pickups do the tonal heavy lifting. Designed by Paul Reed Smith himself, these pickups push clarity to the front while stretching the frequency range at both ends, so notes stay articulate whether you’re digging into low chugs or ringing out top-end leads.
Controls are kept musician-friendly: a volume knob and a push/pull tone control work alongside a 3-way toggle switch to unlock six distinct switching options, giving you real tonal range without a maze of extra switches.
