Description
The Jackson USA Select B8 is an 8-string built for players who need extended range without sacrificing playability or definition on the low end. Its beveled alder body sits under a bolt-on quartersawn maple neck reinforced with graphite for extra stability under heavy string tension, capped with a compound-radius ebony fingerboard that eases from 12″ up to 16″ as you move up the neck. Twenty-four jumbo frets and a 27″ scale length give you plenty of room to work and keep those lower strings taut and articulate.
Tone comes from a pair of direct-mounted DiMarzio D Activator 8 humbuckers (DP820 in the bridge, DP819 in the neck), wired to a simple master volume and tone setup with 3-way toggle switching. The Jackson HT-8 hard-tail bridge is a string-through design for maximum sustain and tuning stability, paired with Jackson-branded Gotoh tuners that hold pitch reliably across all eight strings. Dunlop locking strap pins keep the guitar secure on stage.
Finished in Satin Black with black hardware throughout, the B8 has an understated, purposeful look that matches its role as a serious tool for low-tuned, technical playing. As part of Jackson’s USA Select line, it’s built with the same attention to premium materials and construction the series is known for.
