Description
The Jackson KEXMG Kelly is a metal machine through and through, built on a basswood body with a three-piece maple neck running clean through the body for maximum sustain and stability. The compound-radius rosewood board (12″ to 16″) flattens out as you climb, making bends effortless up top while keeping open chords comfortable down low. Twenty-four jumbo frets and the classic pearloid sharkfin inlays give it that unmistakable Jackson look and playing surface.
Under the hood, an EMG 81 in the bridge and EMG 85 in the neck deliver the active output that high-gain players rely on for tight low end and searing leads, wired to a simple master volume/tone layout with 3-position blade switching. A Floyd Rose Special double-locking tremolo and matching locking nut keep pitch rock-solid through aggressive whammy use, and the black hardware finish plays off the white body and black bevels for a striking contrast.
