Description
Adrian Smith’s SDX signature model takes the classic Jackson San Dimas shape and loads it with everything a fast, aggressive player needs. The basswood body wears a gloss Snow White finish and pairs with a bolt-on maple neck carved into Jackson’s Speed Neck profile — thin, fast, and built for players who move around the fretboard.
Under your fingers is a compound-radius maple fingerboard (12″ to 16″), flatter than a standard radius toward the upper frets so bends stay clean even up high. Twenty-two jumbo frets run the full 25.5″ scale, with simple dot inlays keeping things clean-looking and easy to read at speed.
The HSS pickup setup gives you a high-output Jackson humbucker at the bridge for crunch and lead work, flanked by noiseless Jackson single-coils in the middle and neck for cleaner, glassier tones. A 5-way blade switch unlocks all the usual combinations, from full humbucker snarl to in-between single-coil clarity. For tremolo abuse, a Floyd Rose Special double-locking 2-point unit keeps tuning stable through dive bombs and flutters, backed by black hardware and Jackson-branded tuners.
