Built to Iron Maiden guitarist Adrian Smith’s specs, this San Dimas DK delivers an HSS setup engineered for players who need both crunch and clarity. The alder body keeps things resonant and balanced, while the bolt-on quartersawn maple neck adds stiffness and stability under heavy bends and tremolo abuse. A compound radius maple fingerboard – 12″ at the nut easing to 16″ up top – makes chording comfortable low on the neck and shredding effortless up high, across 22 jumbo frets with pearl dot inlays.
Tonally, the DiMarzio Super Distortion humbucker in the bridge gives you the aggressive push for leads and rhythm work, while the pair of Fender SCN (Samarium Cobalt Noiseless) single-coils in the middle and neck positions bring authentic strat-style shimmer without the 60-cycle hum. A 5-position blade switch unlocks the full range between them, controlled by simple master volume and tone knobs.
Locking everything in place is a Floyd Rose Original double-locking 2-point tremolo paired with a Floyd Rose Original locking nut, letting you dive and pull up without losing tuning. Black hardware, die-cast tuners, and a 4-bolt neck plate round out a build made for stage-ready reliability.
