Description
The G6129T-1957 Silver Jet brings back one of Gretsch’s most iconic looks from the golden era of rock ‘n’ roll, wrapped around a chambered single-cutaway body with an arched laminated maple top and gloss urethane finish. Multiple layers of body binding, a bound headstock, and a pearloid Gretsch logo give it real presence on stage, while the silver plexi pickguard and knurled strap knobs round out the vintage styling.
Under the hood, the one-piece mahogany neck carries a bound rosewood fingerboard with hump-block inlays and a 12″ radius, spanning 22 frets on a 24.6″ scale. It’s a comfortable, fast-playing neck that suits both rhythm chording and lead lines.
Tone comes from a pair of DynaSonic single-coil pickups – known for their punchy, articulate character that cuts through a mix without losing warmth. A 3-position toggle lets you select bridge, neck, or both, with independent volume controls for each pickup plus master volume and tone. The Ebony-based Space Control roller bridge and Bigsby B3C vibrato tailpiece with flat handle deliver smooth, controlled pitch shifts and sustain, while Grover Sta-Tite die-cast tuners keep things stable.
