The G5230T Electromatic Jet FT Single-Cut carries forward 65 years of Gretsch Jet attitude, reworked for modern players who need reliability alongside that thunderous vintage growl. It’s a solid-body instrument, but don’t let that fool you — the mahogany body is chambered beneath an arched laminated maple top, opening up the tone with rounder lows and a high end that stays smooth rather than harsh.
Driving that tone are a pair of Black Top Filter’Tron pickups in the neck and bridge positions. They’re punchy and articulate at any gain setting, translating pick attack with clarity while keeping the low-mid weight this body style is known for. Dial things in with individual volume controls for each pickup, plus a master volume (fitted with a treble bleed circuit to preserve top-end sparkle when you back off) and master tone.
The mahogany neck wears a Thin “U” profile with white binding, topped by a black walnut fingerboard cut to a 12″ radius across 22 medium jumbo frets. Pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays mark your position, and the 24.6″ scale length with 1.6875″ nut width keeps chord voicings comfortable for players coming from other Gretsch or shorter-scale guitars. A Bigsby vibrato is fitted standard, ready for pitch dips and shimmer without knocking the guitar out of tune.
Finished in Aleutian Blue gloss with white body binding and black-and-white purfling, this is a right-handed instrument built for stage and studio alike.
