The G5220 Electromatic Jet BT takes the compact, punchy Jet body Gretsch is known for and pairs it with Broad’Tron pickups for a bigger, bolder voice. The chambered mahogany body with a laminated maple top opens up the midrange while keeping the lows tight and the highs shimmering rather than harsh – a combination that lets this single-cut cut through a mix without losing its character.
Driving that body is a matched set of Black Top Broad’Tron humbuckers. They push into thick, saturated overdrive when you dig in, but they’re voiced with enough clarity and note separation that clean tones stay articulate rather than muddy. Individual volume controls for each pickup, a master tone knob, and a treble-bleed circuit give you real-time shaping without reaching for the amp.
The mahogany neck carries a Thin “U” profile with a 24.6″ scale and 12″ radius black walnut fingerboard – a fast-feeling, familiar setup across 22 medium jumbo frets with pearloid Big Block inlays marking your position. White binding on both body and neck, black/white purfling, and a silver plexi pickguard with the Gretsch logo round out a look that’s unmistakably Jet.
