Description
The G2622T Streamliner Center Block takes the classic Gretsch semi-hollow formula and toughens it up for players who need real stage volume without fighting feedback. That’s thanks to a lightweight spruce center block running through the laminated maple body, which reinforces the top and keeps things controlled even when you’re pushed up loud, while the enlarged F-holes still let the acoustic character breathe through.
Loaded with a pair of Broad’Tron BT-2S humbuckers designed specifically for this collection, the Streamliner delivers tighter low end than you’d expect from a hollow-style guitar, along with clear top end and a midrange that has some real growl to it. Wiring is the traditional Gretsch layout — independent volume for each pickup, a master volume, master tone, and three-way switching — so you can dial in blends on the fly.
The nato neck wears a thin “U” profile with a 12″ radius laurel fingerboard, pearloid Big Block inlays, and 22 medium jumbo frets, making it equally at home for chord-heavy rhythm work or quick lead runs. A Bigsby-licensed B70 vibrato tailpiece adds pitch-bending expression, backed up by an anchored Adjusto-Matic bridge and synthetic bone nut for solid tuning stability and clean intonation.
Finished in Torino Green with aged white binding, upgraded purfling, a three-ply black pickguard, and nickel hardware, this Streamliner carries the vintage-cool Gretsch look while sounding thoroughly modern.
