Godin has spent over three decades refining the art of multi-voice guitars, and the Radium-X is their latest statement: one instrument, two distinct personalities. Built in Canada, it starts with a chambered Mahogany body topped in carved Swamp Ash, paired to a 25.5″ scale Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard for a resonant, balanced foundation.
On the electric side, a Seymour Duncan Jazz SH-2 in the neck position teams with a Bare Knuckle Boot Camp True Grit Zebra at the bridge. That combination spans a wide tonal range — think singing, warm cleans on the neck pickup through to gritty, textured drive from the bridge — giving players real flexibility across genres.
Flip the switch and the Radium-X reveals its acoustic voice, generated by a custom LR-Baggs X-Bridge tremolo fitted with six individual HEX saddle transducers. This piezo system can run independently or blend directly with the magnetic pickups, opening up hybrid tones that a standard solid-body simply can’t produce.
Routing is just as thoughtful: dual output jacks let you send electric and acoustic signals separately or combine them into one mixed output. Controls include a standard magnetic volume, tone, and 3-way toggle, alongside a dedicated acoustic/mix/magnetic 3-way mini-selector and an acoustic volume/blend knob — everything needed to dial in your exact blend on the fly.
