The Progression Plus takes Godin’s already-loved Progression platform and sharpens it further, pairing two Godin GS-2 single-coil pickups in the neck and middle with a Seymour Duncan JB Jr rails humbucker at the bridge. That bridge pickup brings extra grit and output while keeping a single-coil footprint, so switching feels seamless across all five positions. The body has been reshaped into a more ergonomic, rounded contour that sits comfortably against the player, finished here in a warm Trans Cream high-gloss over Canadian Laurentian basswood with a 5-ply pearloid or tortoise shell pickguard.
What really sets this guitar apart is Godin’s H.D.R. (High-Definition Revoicer) system. With a simple push of a button, you flip between passive and active pickup circuits, effectively doubling your tonal palette to ten distinct voices from a single set of pickups. Each active setting reshapes the frequency response and adds dynamic punch, giving you access to sounds a standard passive guitar simply can’t produce.
The Tru-Loc Trem system is another thoughtful touch, letting you dial in your preferred arm position with an Allen key and lock it there, so the bar returns exactly where you left it while still swinging freely within your custom range.
