Description
The Godin 5th Avenue Jumbo HB in Memphis Sun takes the classic 5th Avenue archtop formula and adds body depth for a rounder, more resonant voice. It’s an easy guitar to fall into, whether you’re comping jazz changes, digging into delta blues, working through alt-country twang, or pushing rock tones u2014 the Jumbo shape and Canadian build quality make it feel at home across styles.
Canadian Wild Cherry forms the archtop top, back, and sides, finished in a retro-inspired custom polish that suits the guitar’s vintage character. A Silver Leaf Maple neck with Rosewood fingerboard rides a comfortable 24.84u201d scale, giving the neck an easy, fast feel without sacrificing the fullness in the low end that a Jumbo body is known for. A custom-engraved headstock plate adds a nice touch of detail up top.
Hardware includes a Graphtech Adjustable Tusq Bridge (base) paired with a T.O.M. bridge using roller saddles, plus a trapeze tailpiece u2014 a setup built for tuning stability and smooth intonation adjustments.
On the electronics side, Godin paired a Custom Godin Humbucker at the neck with a Seymour Duncan ’59 at the bridge, giving you a wide tonal palette from warm and jazzy to more cutting bridge tones. Volume, tone, and a 3-way switch sit right where you need them for quick changes between sets or songs.
