Description
Skyhawk HH takes the covered-humbucker formula that made ASAT Deluxe models famous and pushes it further. G&L’s AS4255C sits in the neck while an AW4368C anchors the bridge, delivering thick, musical bucker tones with plenty of headroom. Where this guitar sets itself apart is the P.T.B. System (Passive Treble and Bass) — a pair of tone knobs that independently cut treble and bass frequencies using passive circuitry, going well beyond what a standard tone pot can do. That bass roll-off comes in especially handy when you’re running high-gain rigs or stomping on a fuzz pedal, letting you tighten up the low end without losing character. A push/pull coil tap on top of that opens the door to convincing single-coil voicings, so you’re not locked into humbucker tones alone.
Bending duties fall to Leo Fender’s own Dual-Fulcrum vibrato design, engineered for rock-solid pitch stability whether you’re pulling up or diving down. The aluminum vibrato arm adds a smooth, substantial feel that matches the precision of the bridge itself.
This Skyhawk HH comes finished in Andromeda over Alder, dressed with a 3-ply pearl pickguard and a Caribbean rosewood fingerboard.
