The Fullerton Deluxe ASAT Classic takes Leo Fender’s definitive single-cutaway bolt-on design and dresses it up with some of the finest finish combinations pulled straight from G&L’s Option Order menu. Butterscotch Blonde and Vintage Natural sit atop swamp ash bodies under a transparent coat that lets the wood grain do the talking, while Jet Black, 3-Tone Sunburst, Lake Placid Blue, and Fullerton Red are built on alder for a rounder, warmer voice. Every finish gets a rear body contour for comfort and a matched pickguard chosen to complement the color, with a Clear Tint Satin neck finish carrying that same attention to detail up the fingerboard.

Under the hood, the ASAT Classic keeps things straightforward and honest. A classic boxed-steel bridge anchors individual brass saddles for precise intonation, while the bridge position houses a single-coil Magnetic Field Design pickup, originally engineered by Leo Fender, that delivers a snappy attack layered with complex harmonic content. The neck pickup, also single-coil MFD, opens up a broader tonal range — from clean, rounded jazz voicings to thick, gritty blues grind. Blend the two together and you land somewhere neither pickup reaches alone.
Every Fullerton Deluxe model is built in the historic G&L facility on Fender Avenue in Fullerton, California — the same building Leo Fender established in 1980 and often called the Birthplace of Bolt-on.
