Every version rides on a rear-contoured alder or swamp ash body and wears G&L’s Clear Tint Satin neck finish for a look that feels lived-in from day one.

What makes the Bluesboy special is its pickup combo. In the neck sits a G&L A2S4248N Alnico II humbucker, delivering the rounded warmth this position is known for. At the bridge, a single-coil G&L Magnetic Field Design pickup — originally engineered by Leo Fender† — cuts through with bright attack and harmonically rich character, mounted in a classic boxed-steel bridge with individual brass saddles for precise, modern intonation. Blend the two together and the guitar opens up into a surprisingly wide tonal range, from smoky blues to cutting rock leads.
The hard-rock maple neck wears G&L’s Vintage Tint Satin finish over a comfortable 9 1/2″ radius fingerboard, fretted with Jescar 57110 medium-jumbo nickel-silver wire for a fast, smooth feel under the hand.
