Description
The Fullerton Deluxe ASAT Classic Bluesboy takes Leo Fender’s definitive single-cutaway bolt-on design and dresses it up with some of the most requested finish, pickguard, and fingerboard combinations from G&L’s Option Order menu. Every body is rear-contoured for comfort and finished with care to let the wood grain and color pop, whether that’s a 3-Tone Sunburst or Jet Black over alder with a 3-ply parchment pickguard, Himalayan Blue over alder with pearl pickguard and Caribbean rosewood board, or Butterscotch over swamp ash with a 1-ply black guard and maple fingerboard.
Pickup-wise, this Bluesboy earns its name by blending two distinct voices. A G&L A2S4248N Alnico II humbucker sits in the neck for that classic warm, rounded growl, while a single-coil G&L Magnetic Field Design bridge pickup — a Leo Fender design — supplies bite and harmonic complexity. Mounted in a boxed-steel bridge with individual brass saddles, the bridge pickup intonates with modern precision while retaining vintage snap. Run them together and the guitar opens up into surprisingly versatile territory, from bluesy warmth to twangy attack.
The hard-rock maple neck wears G&L’s Vintage Tint Satin finish and a comfortable 9 1/2″ fingerboard radius, fretted with Jescar 57110 medium-jumbo nickel-silver wire for smooth, fast playability.
