Description
The Vintera ’70s Telecaster Custom captures the exact spirit of Fender’s most experimental decade, right down to the pickup voicing and neck feel. Rather than chase a generic vintage vibe, Fender went back and re-voiced the pickups to match what made ’70s Teles sound the way they did: a vintage-style single-coil at the bridge for that unmistakable snap and bite, paired with a fat-sounding Wide Range humbucking neck pickup that adds warmth and low-end weight you don’t get from a standard Tele.
Playability follows the same period-correct approach. The “Thin C”-shaped neck carries a 7.25″ fingerboard radius with 21 vintage-style frets, giving you that rounded, old-school feel under the fingers. A vintage-style Tele bridge with three steel barrel saddles keeps the twang honest, while “F”-stamped tuning machines look the part and hold pitch reliably.
Other period-faithful touches include:
- Three-bolt neck plate
- Chrome hardware throughout
- Vintage-style strap buttons
- Pau Ferro fingerboard
- Fiesta Red finish
Whether you’re chasing outlaw country grit, classic rock crunch, or anything in between, this Telecaster Custom delivers the articulation and punch the model built its reputation on, wrapped in a genuinely ’70s package. A deluxe gig bag is included.
