Description
The Squier Affinity Telecaster gives new players and gigging musicians alike a genuine Tele experience without the premium price tag. Its alder body carries a Butterscotch Blonde polyurethane finish, paired here with a maple neck cut in a comfortable “C” shape. The rosewood-free maple board (21 medium jumbo frets, 9.5″ radius) keeps chords ringing clear and bends smooth, while the 25.5″ scale length delivers that unmistakable snap and sustain Telecasters are known for.
Under the hood sit a Tele Single-Coil bridge pickup and a Vintage Style Single-Coil neck pickup, routed through a 3-way blade switch and simple master volume/tone controls — no guesswork, just plug in and play. A six-saddle top-load bridge, chrome hardware, synthetic bone nut, and top-hat switch tip round out the build, all strung with Fender USA Super 250L strings (.009-.042).
Paired with this Telecaster is the MXR M78 Custom Badass ’78 Distortion, a factory-modded pedal built around a hot-rodded classic distortion circuit. It’s designed to push whatever amp you’re running — clean, edge-of-breakup, or already cranked — into huge, amp-stack-style territory with old-school tube character.
