Description
The Player Stratocaster carries forward everything guitarists expect from the Strat lineage: chimey top end, that scooped-yet-punchy midrange, and a low end with plenty of grunt. Under the hood are three Player Series Alnico 5 single-coils, wired for the familiar 5-way switching that covers everything from twangy bridge tones to warm, jazzy neck settings and the in-between quack positions players chase for funk and blues.
The Modern C-shaped maple neck is finished in satin on the back for a fast, grip-friendly feel, with a glossy front over the maple fingerboard. Fender extended the fingerboard to 22 medium jumbo frets on a 9.5-inch radius, giving you a touch more room up top and a comfortably flat feel for bends and lead lines. The 2-point synchronized tremolo has been refined for smoother arm travel and better tuning stability, so vibrato work doesn’t fight you or knock things out of tune.
Alder body, gloss polyester finish, synthetic bone nut, sealed tuning machines, and the 4-bolt F-stamped neck plate round out a build that’s straightforward, dependable, and ready to be shaped into your own sound.
