Description
The Modern Player Telecaster Thinline Deluxe takes Fender’s beloved semi-hollow design and pushes it into new sonic territory. Instead of the usual Tele pickup pairing, this one arms itself with two Modern Player MP-90 single-coils, delivering a fuller, more aggressive voice than a standard Thinline while keeping that airy, resonant character the body style is known for.
Under the hood you get a mahogany body paired with a C-shaped maple neck and matching maple fretboard, cut with a 9.5″ radius and finished off with 22 medium jumbo frets for comfortable bending and fast runs. A 25.5″ scale length keeps the feel familiar to any Tele player, while the 1.650″ nut width and synthetic bone nut round out a neck that’s built for long sessions.
Control-wise, this isn’t your typical single-volume-single-tone Telecaster. Each pickup gets its own dedicated volume and tone, all routed through four skirted amp knobs, giving you independent shaping of the neck and bridge MP-90s. A three-way toggle lets you flip between bridge only, both together, or neck only. The vintage-style six-saddle hardtail bridge uses strings-through-body construction borrowed from Stratocaster design, paired with vintage-style tuners and nickel/chrome hardware throughout.
Finished in Three-Color Sunburst with a parchment three-ply pickguard, this guitar carries forward Fender’s tradition of building approachable, affordable instruments without cutting corners on tone or playability.
