Description
This is the Stratocaster that Eric Clapton actually plays — an Artist Series build tailored around his preferences for feel and flexibility. An alder body pairs with a 1-piece maple neck cut to his favored soft V shape, giving your hand a rounder, more substantial grip than a standard C-neck. The 9.5″ radius maple fingerboard carries 22 vintage-style frets, keeping bends smooth without feeling too flat or too round.
Under the hood, three Fender Vintage Noiseless pickups deliver classic single-coil chime and quack without the 60-cycle hum. The real trick is in the electronics: a master TBX tone control widens your tonal sweep from dark to bright, while an active mid-boost circuit (0-25dB) pushes gain and midrange for solos, essentially working like a built-in overdrive/EQ stage. Selection runs through the familiar 5-position blade switch covering bridge, bridge/middle, middle, middle/neck, and neck.
The bridge is a blocked American Vintage synchronized tremolo — locked down for rock-solid tuning stability, in true Clapton fashion. Fender/Gotoh vintage-style tuners and chrome hardware round out the build, finished with a 1-ply white pickguard against the Black polyurethane finish.
