Description
The American Ultra Stratocaster sits at the top of Fender’s domestic lineup, engineered for guitarists who want every detail dialed in. It starts with a “Modern D” neck profile paired with Ultra rolled fingerboard edges, so the back and sides of the neck feel worn-in right out of the box. A tapered neck heel clears the way for your fretting hand when you’re chasing notes way up the dusty end of the fingerboard.
Underneath your fingers is a 10″-14″ compound-radius rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium-jumbo frets – flatter as you climb, so bends and fast runs stay clean without fretting out near the bottom.
Tone comes from a set of Ultra Noiseless Vintage pickups, voiced to capture classic single-coil character while stripping out the 60-cycle hum that’s long been the Strat’s tradeoff. An advanced wiring setup opens up more usable sounds than a standard 5-way switch, and the S-1 switch lets you blend the neck pickup into any switch position for combinations you won’t find on a vintage-spec instrument.
Fender also sculpted the rear body contours a bit deeper for comfort during long sets, a small change that adds up over a three-hour gig. Finished in Ultraburst over a body suited to serious stage and studio work, this Stratocaster is built for players who’ve outgrown entry-level gear and want an instrument that keeps pace with their technique.
