Description
The American Ultra Stratocaster HSS sits at the top of Fender’s American-made line, built for players who want vintage Strat feel married to modern playability. The “Modern D” neck shape with Ultra rolled fingerboard edges makes this one disappear in your hands during long sessions, while a tapered neck heel opens up clear access to the upper frets without any bulky transition getting in the way.
Underneath your fingers is a compound-radius maple fingerboard that flattens from 10″ to 14″ as you move up the neck, keeping open chords full and comfortable low down and bends smooth and buzz-free up high. 22 medium-jumbo frets give you plenty of real estate to work with across the fingerboard.
Tonally, this HSS configuration covers a lot of ground: Ultra Noiseless Hot single-coils deliver classic Strat sparkle and quack minus the 60-cycle hum, and the Ultra Double Tap humbucker in the bridge position adds thickness and output for riffing and lead work, with coil-splitting wired in for extra flexibility. The advanced wiring lets you dial in tones from glassy and articulate to thick and aggressive without ever fighting noise.
Fender also sculpted the body’s rear contours for a more ergonomic fit against your body, a small detail that adds up over hours of playing. Finished in Ultraburst, this is a Strat built to handle everything from studio dates to stage work, engineered for players who’ve outgrown their first “real” guitar and want something that keeps pace with where their playing is headed.
