Description
The American Special Telecaster strips away the frills and focuses on what makes a Tele a Tele: snap, twang, and rock-solid build quality, all made in the USA. This one wears a 3-Color Sunburst finish over an alder body, paired with a rosewood fingerboard for a warmer, smoother feel under the fingers.
The Modern “C”-shaped maple neck is quick and comfortable, with a satin polyurethane finish that lets your hand glide rather than stick. A 9.5″ fingerboard radius and 22 jumbo frets make bends and lead lines feel natural, while the 1.685″ synthetic bone nut keeps string spacing familiar to any Tele player.
Texas Special single-coil pickups in the bridge and neck positions bring a hotter, more aggressive voice than a stock Tele set, still full of that unmistakable single-coil clarity. The 3-position blade switch covers bridge, combined, and neck tones, and Fender’s Greasebucket circuit tames harsh highs on the tone knob without piling on extra bass, so your cleans stay articulate as you dial back.
Vintage-style touches include a 3-saddle, strings-through-body bridge with brass saddles for classic Tele resonance and sustain, along with a 3-ply black/white/black pickguard and nickel/chrome hardware for a look that matches the sound.
