Description
The Telecaster Deluxe first showed up in the early ’70s when players wanted the roar of a cranked amp minus the buzz. Fender’s American Professional take on that idea, the Telecaster Deluxe ShawBucker, updates the formula with player-first appointments built for stage and studio work, all while keeping that signature sizzle intact.
Tim Shaw designed the ShawBucker 1T and 2T humbuckers found here, each voiced independently for its position on the guitar. The result is thicker, more powerful tone layered over classic Fender sonic character – enough girth to push into pop, punk, or heavy modern styles without abandoning Telecaster twang. A treble-bleed tone circuit on both volume controls keeps your top end intact even as you dial back the gain.
Under your hand, the maple neck wears Fender’s modern “Deep C” profile – a shape that splits the difference between “Modern C” and “U” contours for a fuller, more substantial grip. Narrow-tall frets make string bends more precise and help chords ring true all the way up the neck. A bone nut and a redesigned bridge with three compensated brass barrel saddles round out the build, with a low-profile “ashtray” cover that won’t get in the way of palm muting.
Finished in Sonic Gray over a rosewood board, this Telecaster Deluxe ships in Fender’s Elite Molded hardshell case.
