Description
Left-handed players don’t get many chances at a true American-made Stratocaster, and this one delivers the real deal rather than a mirror-image afterthought. Built in the American Professional series, it carries forward the alder body, maple neck, and Sunburst finish that defined the Strat sound for decades, while updating the details that actually matter under your fingers.
Tim Shaw’s V-Mod pickups sit at the heart of the tone here — three single-coils, each voiced differently for its position using a mix of alnico magnet types, so bridge, middle, and neck all speak with their own character instead of one generic Strat voice. A treble-bleed circuit keeps the top end intact as you roll off the volume knob, which matters more than most players realize once they’re mid-solo.
The neck wears Fender’s modern “Deep C” profile, a shape that splits the difference between a Modern C and a U, giving your hand more to hold onto without feeling clubby. Combined with 22 narrow-tall frets, bending and fretting up the neck stays accurate and comfortable. A bone nut and the pop-in tremolo arm — which locks into place and won’t spin loose mid-set — round out the playing feel.
