Description
The American Performer Jazzmaster takes the offset shape that’s defined generations of players and refines it for the way guitarists actually work today. Built in Corona, California, it pairs an alder body with a comfortable “Modern C”-shaped maple neck, giving you that classic Jazzmaster silhouette without any of the quirks that used to come with it.
Yosemite single-coil pickups anchor the tone here, delivering a punchy, articulate voice with plenty of top-end sparkle when you dig in, and warmth that cleans up nicely on the neck position. A 3-way toggle lets you flip between bridge, combined, and neck pickup settings, while the Greasebucket tone circuit rolls off highs without adding the muddiness typical of a standard tone pot.
Under your fretting hand, a 9.5″ radius rosewood fingerboard and 22 jumbo frets make bends and lead lines feel effortless, and the vintage-style Strat synchronized tremolo bridge adds subtle pitch shimmer for surf, indie, or shoegaze textures. Fender ClassicGear tuning machines keep things stable at the headstock.
