Description
Wolfgang Standard trims the fat without cutting corners. A basswood body with a flat top gets the signature “comfort cut” forearm contour, so long practice sessions and stage sets feel effortless rather than exhausting. Anchoring the tone and tuning is an EVH Tunamatic-style bridge with tailpiece, delivering the rock-solid intonation this platform is known for.
The bolt-on maple neck is a single piece with graphite reinforcement for stability, finished in satin with a maple fingerboard that shifts through a 12″-16″ compound radius. That progressive curve means comfortable chording near the nut and effortless bending up top, aided by rolled fingerboard edges and 22 jumbo frets. A heel-mounted spoke-wheel truss rod makes neck adjustments quick without pulling the guitar apart.
Loaded with dual EVH Wolfgang direct-mount humbuckers and wired simply — master volume, master tone, and a 3-position toggle (bridge, both, neck) — this guitar covers everything from tight rhythm chunk to soaring lead tones. Black domed control knobs and EVH-branded tuners round out the hardware, while a side-mounted rectangular output jack and oversized strap buttons reflect the small design touches that make Wolfgang guitars distinct.
