Description
The Pro-Mod DK24 HSH 2PT CM takes Charvel’s iconic Dinky platform and refines it for guitarists who move between styles without changing instruments. Under the Satin Orange Crush finish sits an alder body paired with a two-piece bolt-on caramelized maple Speed Neck, reinforced with graphite for extra stability and topped with a hand-rubbed urethane finish that feels fast right out of the box. A sculpted heel keeps upper-fret access wide open, while the heel-mounted truss rod wheel means adjustments don’t require removing the neck.
The caramelized maple fingerboard uses a 12″-16″ compound radius with rolled edges, so chords feel comfortable near the nut and bends stay smooth up high. Twenty-four jumbo frets, pearloid dot inlays, Luminlay side dots for low-light visibility, and a Graph Tech nut round out the playing surface.
Tone-wise, the HSH layout gives real versatility: a Custom Seymour Duncan Full Shred SH-10B at the bridge for high-output aggression, a Custom Flat Strat SSL-6 single-coil in the middle for spank and clarity, and an Alnico II Pro APH-1N humbucker at the neck for warm, vocal leads. A five-way blade switch unlocks split-coil combinations, while the 500K EVH Bourns low-friction volume pot and no-load tone control let you dial in everything from full humbucker punch to open, uncolored single-coil sound.
Hardware backs up the tone with function: a recessed Gotoh Custom 510 tremolo for expressive vibrato and stable tuning, chrome-finished locking tuners, and chrome hardware throughout.
